Daniel Leo was born in Montreal, Canada in 1990. He spent time backpacking across South America and Asia instead of pursuing a formal education, and later fell in love with world cinema. A photographer-turned-filmmaker, he directed his first film in 2017 which was shot in Brazil and Poland.
