Eileen Hofer, born in 1976, graduated in literature and history of cinema that she completed in Istanbul. She worked for a film festival as a press officer for four years. She started then working as a journalist for a Swiss daily newspaper before becoming the chief editor of a magazine. She’s now working as a filmmaker. Roots is her first fiction film.
